Columbia Asia will soon launch its 14th hospital in the group located in Bukit Jalil, Kuala Lumpur. Columbia Asia Hospital – Bukit Jalil will meet the healthcare needs of surrounding neighborhoods. As a multi-disciplinary hospital with a vision to provide quality healthcare closer to home, it will not only cover Bukit Jalil but also residential areas of Seri Kembangan, Serdang, OUG, Taman Desa, Sri Petaling and Sungai Besi.
This seven-story structure is built on grounds measuring over 20,010 sqm. Once fully operational, it will house 22 specialist clinics, 96 ward beds, five ICU beds, three operating theatres, four labor rooms, ten nursery cots including three NICU cots and two Special Care Nursery cots. For the convenience of patients and visitors, it will also feature a multi-story parking facilities.
As for medical disciplines, it will include Anesthesiology, Cardiology, Dermatology, ENT, Gastroenterology, General Surgery, Internal Medicine, O&G, Ophthalmology, Orthopedics, Pediatrics, Spine Surgery, Psychiatry, Radiology and Urology including clinical sub-specialties. The hospital staff will comprise of highly trained and experienced doctors, nurses and medical personnel.
Among its clinical facilities are rehabilitation unit comprising physiotherapy, speech, and occupational therapy, health screening unit, an endoscopy unit, and 24 hours services of A&E unit, radiology & imaging, laboratory and pharmacy. On top of that, the hospital will engage in the use of advanced technology for detection and diagnoses of diseases. This will include a 1.5 Tesla MRI, 128-slice CT scan and digital radiography.
Columbia Asia Hospital – Bukit Jalil is estimated to launch in the third quarter of 2023. Located at 9, Jalan Jalil Perkasa 7, Bukit Jalil 57000 Kuala Lumpur, it is directly opposite IMU, a mere four minutes’ drive to the Bukit Jalil LRT station and seven minutes to Stadium Nasional Bukit Jalil. It is also connected by five major highways namely Lebuhraya Shah Alam (KESAS), KL-Seremban Highway, Lebuhraya Bukit Jalil-Puchong, MEX-KL Putrajaya Highway and Lebuhraya Sungei Besi. This makes the hospital an added convenience beyond the area of Bukit Jalil.
